For you to apply for ECAS certificate, you must have the below two options:

1. Have an UAE trader
2. Have purchased Oxo-Biodegradable resin from one of the 8 approved additive suppliers.

Documents required for OBD:

1.      Declaration of Conformity by the Applicant on the Product(s) for Registration using the Applicant’s (trader) Official Letterhead. ( a template is attached)

2.      Valid UAE Industry/Trade License.

3.      Copy of the invoice for the purchased additives.

4.      Test report from an accredited laboratory for plastic objects as per the requirement of UAE Standard 5009/2009 including : (valid for 3 years)

·         Abiotic Degradation Test reports

·         residual material on the non-degradable fraction

·         Ultimate Aerobic Biodegradability

5.      Copy of Quality management system. According to ISO 9001.

6.      Distributor ownership.( a template is attached, must be signed and stamped by the manufacturer)

7.      Declaration of using a Plastic additive for each batch with the percentage of additives.(a template is attached)

8.      Summary of your products. ( kindly fill this out as soon as you can to help identify what are your products that you are planning to bring over to UAE market)
